Flash Express Investments to Support Its Future Success

Flash Express is collecting investment funds to enhance its cross-border delivery services in response to growing e-commerce demand in the ASEAN region. The company, already operating in Laos and the Philippines, plans to expand to Malaysia, with full operations starting in the first quarter. CEO Komsan Lee emphasized his focus on e-commerce-related services in the areas of lending and e-payment services.

Additionally, Flash Express launched "Flash Bulky," a low-cost service for shipping large items, to compete with other couriers. The service covers items weighing 5-100 kg, with prices starting at 50 baht. The company also introduced a "Speed Guarantee" service, ensuring two-day delivery or a refund of the delivery cost.

Last year, Flash Express generated 17 billion baht in revenue and handled 600 million parcels. Despite challenges like competitive prices and rising oil prices, the company has pledged not to increase delivery fees and is exploring the use of alternative fuels and electric vehicles. Flash Express is also preparing for a new round of fundraising mid-year.

Flash Express Plans to Open 112 Branches Across the Philippines

Flash Express is set to open 112 branches across the Philippines in 2022, starting with the first three Flash Shop stores in Manila's Binondo and Divisoria shopping districts. The company, which began operations in August 2021, aims to lead the domestic logistics industry by providing comprehensive delivery services, including walk-in options for sending and receiving parcels. The new branches are part of a broader strategy that includes using branded delivery trucks nationwide. Flash Express offers free door-to-door pickup, low shipping rates, 365-day operations, and 24/7 customer service to enhance customer experience.

Flash Express marketing director Dave Khodr emphasized that Flash Shop stores will speed up the business logistics experience, especially for customers seeking physical branches in malls and retail stores. The first stores are located at Divisoria Mall, 999 Mall, and the Manila Textile Complex. Furthermore, the company's employees are confident in Flash Express's growth and commitment to providing world-class logistics services to Filipino customers. In addition, Sherry Lou Bernabe, head of legal and compliance, also highlighted the company's progress in obtaining its business plans and promises to customers.
